Perhaps Liberals can lecture the Taiwanese, Uyghurs, Hongkongers about how identifying Beijing’s agents makes them complicit in racism
Amid the 2019 election, CSIS identified Han Dong, then a candidate for the Liberal party, as aGlobal News reported on Friday. Beijing allegedly bussed in Chinese international students with fake addresses to support Dong’s successful nomination as a Liberal candidate, leading CSIS to allegedly request that the Liberals rescind the nomination. The Trudeau government apparently ignored this request and, incredibly, informed Dong that CSIS was investigating him.
Given the avalanche of disclosures, it’s sometimes hard to know what’s more bewildering: the scandals themselves, or Trudeau’s attempts to lie and obfuscate his way out of accountability.
