Ketua Umno Kedah Mahdzir Khalid, berkata individu hendak diketengahkan sebagai calon mungkin tiada jawatan dalam parti.
Ketua Umno Kedah Mahdzir Khalid, berkata sebaliknya individu yang hendak dikemuka sebagai calon mesti dikenali dan dapat diterima ahli serta masyarakat setempat. Beliau berkata, BN juga mempunyai beberapa kriteria lain diambil kira sebelum seseorang individu dinamakan sebagai calon.
