A 21-year-old man named Aaron Samuel Yukon has been charged for allegedly slashing Ah Boys to Men actor Ryan Lian multiple times with a knife at NEX shopping centre in Singapore . The incident occurred on November 22, and Yukon was charged on November 23 with voluntarily causing hurt by means of an instrument for cutting. The penalty for this offense includes up to seven years in jail, a fine, caning, or any combination of these punishments.
Lian, also known as Lian Yong Yi, is well-known for his roles in Singaporean productions such as 'Ah Boys to Men 4' and 'Money No Enough 3'. Lian was discharged from Changi General Hospital on November 25, and he confirmed the attack in an interview with the Chinese daily Lianhe Zaobao.
