That’s the situation facing 18-year-old Tyler Greening, the only one of the four accused who is old enough to be tried as an adult. The other three accused males, aged 14, 15 and 16, cannot be named under provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

Numerous people showed up for Greening’s bail hearing on Friday, including his parents, as well as a group of teens in a show of support for Greening.He described him as “too docile” and in the wrong place at the wrong time, adding he’s not a bad guy, doesn’t deserved to be in jail, and ended up hanging out with the wrong people.

Greening remains in custody at least until Tuesday, when a judge will decide whether to release him on bail.
