AC/DC are returning for their first live show in seven years, and with frontman Brian Johnson back in the fold.

AC/DC are back in action for the first time in seven years, headlining California heavy rock festival Power Trip with Metallica, Guns N’ Roses and Ozzy Osbourne in early October.

The three-day festival will be the first time AC/DC have performed live since 2016 and the band is expected to bring vocalist Brian Johnson back into the fold, after he was replaced on stage by Guns N’ Roses singer Axl Rose in previous performances.Johnson sang on AC/DC’s 2020 album, but was forced out of the group’s North American shows in 2016 due to hearing problems.

Power Trip will take place at California’s Empire Polo Field in Indio, where the annual Coachella festival is held, and is run by Coachella founders Goldenvoice. The festival will also feature British rockers Iron Maiden and progressive/art rock band Tool, fronted by Maynard James Keenan.Osbourne, 74, announced early this year he had retired from touring, after cancelling his European tour for health reasons. Osbourne will play on Power Trip’s second night, along with AC/DC.
