Aboitiz units settle fines imposed by Energy dept

ABOITIZ Power Corp. (AboitizPower) said Thursday that three subsidiaries had settled fines levied by the Energy department over the late renewal of safety officer permits imposed by the Department of Energy (DOE).

ABOITIZ Power Corp. said Thursday that three subsidiaries had settled fines levied by the Energy department over the late renewal of safety officer permits imposed by the Department of Energy .It told the Philippine Stock Exchange that Hedcor, Inc. had paid P680,000; Luzon Hydro Corp., P140,000.00; and Hedcor Sabangan, Inc., P60,000.00.Safety officer permits fall under Energy Department Circular DC2012-11-0009 or the Renewable Energy Safety, Health and Environment Rules and Regulations.

Based on its latest quarterly report, the company's net income after tax rose to P11.22 billion in the third quarter from P9.67 billion a year ago.The nine-month tally for 2025 subsequently edged up to P29.94 billion from P29.36 billion.Net income attributable to the parent firm was also higher at P10.15 billion in the third quarter from P8.922 billion a year earlier.For January-September, this rose to P27.27 billion from P26.74 billion.
