ABF seizes $48 million worth of cocaine at Sydney port

Border Force officials revealed the cocaine was hidden in a shipping container full of coffee beans bound for Sydney.

Authorities became suspicious when they noticed the container, which had come in a shipment of goods from Central and South America, had a damaged seal.

After an x-ray revealed"anomalies" in the container, ABF officers conducted an inspection where they found several duffel bags wrapped in plastic hidden inside. Picture: Australian Border Force "The Australian Border Force is committed to protecting Australia's borders and international ports, and in turn, continuing to keep Australian communities safe," he said.
