After he recently accepted an offer from the University of Montreal Carabins to be their assistant defensive co-ordinator, Pruneau, a long-time starter at safety for the Redblacks, still had doubt racing through his mind. He was overcome by the enormity of his decision: He was thinking, “What did I just do?”
Pruneau ends his CFL career as the Redblacks’ all-time leader in games played and total tackles with 448 , to go with 10 interceptions, four sacks and four forced fumbles.Advertisement 4Since he was selected fourth overall in the 2014 CFL draft out of the University of Montreal, the Redblacks were all Pruneau had known. For eight seasons, he was a very good football player, a strong leader in the locker room and a great representative of the team’s core community values.
