A status yellow weather advisory for Cork and Kerry has been issued.
The update states that there's"potential for stormy conditions for the southwest later on Friday and early Saturday". The warning was issued at 12:00 on 24 April and it's valid from Friday, 26 April at 18:00 until Saturday, 27 April at 06:00. Regarding the national forecast for the coming days, Wednesday is set to be cloudy with showery outbreaks of rain spreading northwards over the country.
These showers are set to be heavy and persistent in places as the afternoon develops. There's a risk of thunder too.Thursday will bring a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers but some of the showers will be heavy, prolonged and possibly thundery.As for Friday, it's set to be wet and windy with a chance rain of the rain turning heavy and a risk of very strong and gusty winds.Potential for stormy conditions for the southwest later on Friday and early Saturday.
