A steady stream of neighbours and friends file into a home in Melbourne’s north-west where an 11-year-old boy is sharing his passion for books.
Seth Chirau would read “all day and all night” if he could and has been known to easily devour four or five books per week.
Since February, Seth has run a free private library at his home, in Aintree in Melbourne’s north-west. The feedback has been “extremely positive”, says Bozelle. Membership and borrowing are free, but there is a one-off $20 bond, if books are damaged or lost, that is refunded when members leave the group. Members choose their books using an online order form that shows them what is available.
