Bunuba Traditional Owner Joe Ross says the flooding in Western Australia Kimberley region is “unprecedented”, yet locals are beginning to see it as part of the “norm”.
“People talk about this being a one-in-a-hundred-year flood; I think we’re now going to start talking about this being a norm for every 10 or 20 years.
“We’re apparently at the start of the wet season, so we’d be expecting another couple of cyclones to come along.”
