The general mood in the US when it comes to the recent spy balloon and unidentified objects is “more of bemusement”, says The Australian’s Washington Correspondent Adam Creighton.
“I don’t think ordinary Americans think that aliens are invading the US or that this is a part of some Chinese assault but nevertheless it is odd … that the President has not really said anything yet,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“He’s been extremely taciturn about this issue, he’s just kind of left it to his national security communications people, to his press secretary.”
