8 permanent flood relief centres being built in schools, says DPM
Deputy Prime Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says eight halls are to be used as flood relief centres and will be managed by the respective schools these are located in. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, March 5, 2023.
Without stating the locations of the halls, he said the facilities would be managed by the respective schools and it could be used by the school and students during non-flood season. On the current flood situation, Zahid said the relevant agencies are working to ensure quick response to flood victims’ needs.
