Hugh Jackman's 23-year tenure as Wolverine still hasn't come to an end, but there is still a plethora of superpowers Wolverine hasn't used on-screen.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT After 23 years, it's safe to say that Hugh Jackman is the longest-serving actor to portray any one superhero on-screen, yet despite his legendary tenure there are still some superpowers that Wolverine has yet to use. Despite Logan appearing to be a swansong for Jackman's Wolverine, he is being dragged into the MCU by Deadpool.
Short of being a superpower played off for laughs - which is certainly a possibility in Deadpool 3 - there are some useful applications to this ability. Detecting poison, for instance, is one - though anyone looking to poison Wolverine or Deadpool clearly isn't familiar with the two's healing factors. It is unlikely that his taste buds will enjoy any time in the limelight in a future appearance for this reason, save for an offhand mention.
Unfortunately, were-wolverine probably isn't on the cards any time soon. The MCU is no stranger to mysticism, and it has even recently introduced its own werewolf in Werewolf by Night. The likelihood of Jack Russell and Logan crossing paths, however, is not all that likely, while it is also unlikely that Deadpool 3 will bog down its anticipated foray with Fox's X-Men by introducing werewolves and vampires into the mix.
3 Wolverine Could Turn Feral An interesting effect granted by Wolverine's Adamantium skeleton was its unforeseen ability to stave off Wolverine's transformation into something more bestial, or, at least, more bestial than usual. After having the Adamantium in his skeleton removed by Magneto in one of the most gruesome scenes in the comics, Wolverine began to experience a slow transformation into his most beast-like self.
