Shaw Theatres and Cathay Cineplexes’ seniors discounts still apply for those aged 55 and above.

Customers aged 55 and above used to be entitled to Golden Village discounted tickets for movies on certain days and at selected timings.

In a post on the Complaint Singapore Facebook page on March 14, user Jessee Chang said she had gone to watch a movie at Golden Village’s cinema in VivoCity, only to find that the terms of the senior citizen discount had changed. Ms Chang told ST that her visit to the cinema on March 12 was the first time in 2024 she had tried redeeming the senior citizen discount.
