Sa ulat ng GTV "State of the Nation" nitong Martes, sinabi ng airlines na galing sa London at bumibiyahe papuntang Singapore ang eroplano nang makaranasan ng matinding turbulence nang madaanan ang air pocket.Sa 30 nasaktan, pito sa kanila ang nagtamo ng malubhang sugat sa ulo.Mahigit 200 ang pasahero ng eroplano na kinabibilangan ng limang Pilipino. Mayroon din itong 18 na crew.
"Singapore Airlines offers its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased. We deeply apologize for the traumatic experience that our passengers and crew members suffered on this flight," saad sa pahayag ng airline. Kuwento ng isang pasahero, nakaramdam sila ng pagyanig, at biglang pag-angat at pagbagsak ng eroplano.
