439 people remain in Batu Pahat flood relief centres tonight

THE number of people displaced by floods in Batu Pahat dropped from 444 people at 4pm to 439 as of 8pm today, the state disaster management committee said. Five flood relief centres are still open: SK Seri Medan , SA Seri Bertam , Yong Peng Community Hall , SJKC Hua Min and SA Seri Comel . The SDMC also said that Sungai Bekok in Empangan Bekok was at the warning level of 19.01m this evening.
The weather is expected to be cloudy in Johor Baru and Pontian, and clear in the other eight districts. – Bernama, March 23, 2023.
