Newfoundland Rogues photoThe Newfoundland Rogues will end a playing drought on Friday, Jan. 20, that saw them not compete for more than 400 days.
In those 407 days, there have been changes both to the roster and the league that the Rogues play in. That league switch will see Newfoundland compete all over the United States and parts of Canada in a 40-game schedule. This includes teams in the National Basketball League of Canada , which has a partnership with the TBL.
Of the new faces, at the top of the list has to be the arrival of Ron Artest III. Signed partway through training camp, Artest III is the son of NBA champion Metta Sandiford-Artest and is a player the team is excited to have.Other new players to the team and the city are forwards Kenya Brown, Brandon Johnson, Jonathan Maxwell and Frederick Moore, along with guards Benjamin Page, Armani Chaney and Jachorie Archie.
