40 charged with trespass into Bukit Enggang forest reserve FMTNews
PETALING JAYA: The sessions court in Baling, Kedah, has charged 40 people, including 35 foreigners, with trespassing into the Bukit Enggang forest reserve, located in Sik, last January.
No pleas were recorded from the rest of the accused, who included three other Malaysians – Wong Ning Ham, 54, Tai Chan Weng, 56, and Wong Siew Lin, 58 – and 35 foreign nationals as they did not understand Malay. All were accused of entering compartment 12 of the forest reserve without a permit between 9pm on Jan 31 and 3am on Feb 1.
