MANILA, Philippines— Three weather systems - shear line, easterlies and northeast monsoon or amihan – will continue to affect the country, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said Sunday.Weather specialist Grace Castañeda said the convergence of hot and cold air or shear line has been bringing scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms in Bicol Region, Mimaropa , Eastern Visayas and Quezon province.

The easterlies - winds coming from the east and passing through the Pacific Ocean that carry humid and warm weather - would likely affect Caraga, Davao Region, Sarangani and South Cotabato where cloudy skies would prevail, the Pagasa forecaster said in her 5 a.m. briefing. The same weather system will also bring isolated downpours or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao within 24 hours, Pagasa said.
