THE Department of Social Welfare and Development , through its Sustainable Livelihood Program , has distributed some P2.8 million in livelihood assistance to 241 residents in Zamboanga del Sur, the DSWD said Friday, December 6, 2024.The DSWD-Zamboanga Peninsula said the livelihood grant was distributed to the recipients on Wednesday, December 4, at the C3 Function Hall, Pagadian City, the capital of Zamboanga del Sur province.Of the 241 recipients, 133 are from Pagadian City.
Meanwhile, five new SLP associations had their ceremonial turn-over of checks with projects that aim to help their community such as mini gasoline stations and general merchandise stores all located in Pagadian City. The SLPA recipients and the corresponding amount they received in checks are US mini gasoline station SLPA, P490,000; Bogo Mini Gasoline Station SLPA, P490,000; Talipapa SLPA, P490,000; N-3 General Merchandise SLPA, P400,000; and, N-4 General Merchandise SLPA, P380,000.
