The government launched the Bali-Kerthi Development Fund and Project Management Office to implement the Kerthi Bali Economic transformation. The government is preparing an economic transformation to accelerate Indonesia's development.

Currently, the government has designed and projected the development of thematic economic regions. This was conveyed by the Minister of National Development Planning/Head of the National Development Planning Agency, Suharso Monoarfa, during the launch of the Bali-Kerthi Development Fund and the Kerthi Bali Economic Transformation Project Management Office at the Ksirarnawa Building, Taman Budaya Bali, Denpasar City, on Saturday .
Previously, Governor Koster stated that Bappenas supports and plays an important role in the efforts to transform the Kerthi Bali Economy as an attempt for Bali to organize the fundamental economic structure of the region. Koster mentioned that the regional economy, which depends on one tourism sector, becomes vulnerable and Bali gained important experiences during the Covid-19 pandemic.
