Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) president Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino said on Tuesday that 2025 will be a busy year for Filipino athletes with four major international competitions lined up. Tolentino, who met with his new Executive Board at the Hai Shin Lou Restaurant in Makati City, said the year will be “marked with major international competitions.
” The competitions include the Ninth Asian Winter Games in Harbin, China (February 7-14), the 12th World Games in Chengdu, China (August 7-17), the Third Asian Youth Olympics Games in Bahrain (October 22-31), and the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand (December 9-20). Tolentino said the POC aims to send as many qualified athletes as possible to these games and is targeting the best possible results. He highlighted the Harbin Games as a springboard for the country’s quest for its first Winter Olympics medal
