Kuala Lumpur: An e-hailing driver claimed trial at the Kuala Lumpur sessions court today to 61 charges of cheating Prasarana Malaysia Berhad and causing losses of more than RM500,000.
Shahrul Nizam Azman, 34, was charged with cheating Prasarana by making false claims, causing the company to pay RM562,896 into the bank accounts of three different firms.The offences allegedly took place between Jan 8, 2020, and June 19, 2023, at Menara UOA Bangsar.
He was charged under Section 420 of the Penal Code which provides for up to 10 years in prison, whipping, and a fine upon conviction.
