PITX in Parañaque witnessed a massive influx of around 170,000 passengers on Thursday as people returned from the holidays. Management anticipates this surge to continue until Sunday. Concerns were raised regarding traffic congestion on Andaya Highway, particularly affecting the Bicol route. PITX deployed standby vehicles to mitigate delays. Meanwhile, ports are anticipating over 600,000 passengers arriving from Friday through the weekend. NAIA also experienced a significant passenger volume today, with projections for 50.1 million passengers in 2024, surpassing previous records.

Around 170,000 passengers flocked the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange on Thursday as people returned from the holidays. According to Mark Salazar's 24 Oras report, PITX management is expecting the influx to continue increasing until Sunday."Magkasama na yan yung mga nagsisiuwian galing sa probinsya at yung mga taga probinsya na nagbakasyon sa Metro Manila," said PITX corporate affairs head Jason Salvador.

Yun ang ginawa nating adjustment. Dineploy natin sila, in-activate agad para hindi ganun katagal ang paghihintay dito ng mga kapuso natin," said Salvador. Meanwhile, the ports are also being monitored as more than 600,000 passengers are expected to arrive starting tomorrow, Friday, until the weekend. A large number of passengers were also recorded at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport today. The number of passengers passing through NAIA in 2024 is expected to reach 50.
