A Prince George developer is seeking to rezone a two-hectare lot at the west end of 22nd Avenue.
A Prince George-based developer is seeking an official community plan amendment and rezoning to facilitate an up-to-150-unit multi-family development on a property at the west end of 22nd Avenue, south of Exhibition Park.
“To establish a level of density that will align with the existing neighbourhood and multi-family developments in the surrounding area, the applicant has offered to register a Section 219 Covenant on the legal title of the subject property to limit density to a maximum of 75 units/ha,” city director of planning and development Deanna Wasnik wrote in the report.
If city council approves the first and second reading on the official community plan amendment on Wednesday, a public consultation period and public hearing will be trigged before final reading can be adopted. In addition, the developer would be required to submit a servicing brief and traffic impact study to city staff’s satisfaction prior to final reading of the rezoning bylaw.
