Sarnia police did not identify the suspect they arrested following a bizarre incident where they said an impaired driver struck a pedestrian and tried to mow down several others while attempting to annoy a homeless encampment in a park.

Sarnia police posted this photo on Twitter following the arrest of a 62-year-old man early on July 31, 2023, in connection with a disturbance in a south Sarnia neighbourhood, where it's alleged a driver attempted to mow down pedestrians. Court records show a 62-year-old man is facing 11 charges in connection with a bizarre incident in which police say an impaired driver struck a pedestrian and tried to mow down several others while trying to annoy a homeless encampment.
