THE Davao City Police Office has deployed around 100 police personnel to support the City Transport and Traffic Management Office , particularly during rush hours.Police Captain Hazel Tuazon, DCPO spokesperson, stated that these officers are assigned to the Traffic Enforcement Unit , with additional traffic investigators from various city police stations also stepping in to manage traffic flow.
Tuazon highlighted the contributions of barangay tanods , who assist schools and other key areas. She emphasized the importance of on-ground coordination to effectively assess and address traffic challenges.She also attributed the current heavy congestion to the holiday rush, noting that the situation is expected to improve after the season. However, authorities will monitor traffic patterns in the coming months to determine if additional measures are needed.
